School Djembe

With this instrument, fun is guaranteed! Generally, there are three basic sounds that can be played on the djembe: the bass, open tone, and slap. The djembe is great fun for all ages and skill levels! Even with little or no musical knowledge, you can get started quickly. Different sizes and types are available with nappa, synthetic, or natural drumheads. Each drumhead has its own sound: a nappa drumhead produces a softer, lower tone, a synthetic drumhead produces a hard, sharp tone, and a natural drumhead produces a hard, warm tone.
